Mark qualified as a teacher in 2000 after successfully gaining a BA.(Hons) with QTS in Primary Teaching. He started his career at St Paul’s Primary Blackburn, later joining Cribden House Special School, Rawtenstall. In 2012 Mark moved to Belmont School, Rawtenstall where he has experience as a school governor, teacher, Deputy Head and for the last three years, as Headteacher. Mark took up the headship at The Holden School, in March 2020.
At The Holden School, Mark works closely with James Joyce (Assistant Director) to lead strategic direction of the school, overseeing the school curriculum, teaching and learning, pupil progress and pupil safety and, well-being.
