🔴 Red Nose Day 2026: Doodling for a Difference!

What a fantastic Red Nose Day we had here at The Holden School! This year, we took the theme of “Funny for Money” to a whole new level by combining our love for art with our passion for supporting Comic Relief.

🎨 Inspired by the Best

Our students dived into an art lesson centered around the world-famous neurodivergent artist Sam Cox (better known as Mr. Doodle). We explored his journey to becoming a highly successful contemporary artist, proving that being neurodivergent isn’t a limit—it’s a powerful creative strength!

✍️ The Big Build

Taking a leaf out of Mr. Doodle’s book, our learners:

  • Experimented with his signature energetic “doodle” style.
  • Added their own imaginative designs to red nose motifs.
  • Created a giant selfie board (check out the photos!) where everyone could express their individuality within a shared piece of art.

❤️ Why We Do It

By linking our artwork to Comic Relief, our students saw firsthand how art can be used as a tool to raise awareness and bring people together for a meaningful cause. The money raised helps provide the essentials—food, shelter, and safety—to families here in the UK and around the world.

A huge thank you to all our families for your continued support and for helping us celebrate the unique talents of every student!
