Chapel Street Pathway
Secondary and Post-16 Provision
A specialist pathway for autistic and neurodivergent young people aged 11–19 who need a smaller, emotionally supportive learning environment.
Many young people within this pathway may experience:
- Anxiety linked to school.
- Emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).
- Emotional regulation difficulties.
- Sensory and social communication differences.
- Difficulties sustaining success within larger mainstream environments.
The pathway combines:
- Ambitious teaching.
- Relational practice.
- Neuro-affirming support.
- Preparation for adulthood.
- Therapeutic understanding.
- Structured emotional support.
At Chapel Street, we recognise that young people learn best when they feel safe, understood, and emotionally secure. Through smaller classes, predictable relationships, and compassionate high expectations, we help pupils rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and prepare successfully for adulthood.
