Home News & Events Children’s Mental Health week: This is my place
Learners at firs lane have been contributing to a whole-primary school art canvas during Children’s Mental Health Week offers powerful benefits, both creatively and emotionally, as it allows every child to feel seen, valued, and connected. When each student adds their own mark, colour, or idea, the artwork becomes a shared expression of identity and unity, reinforcing the message that everyone belongs and plays an important part in the school community. The process encourages collaboration, communication, and mutual respect, while also providing a safe space for self-expression and reflection. Seeing individual contributions come together into one vibrant piece helps children recognise that school is not just a place for learning, but a supportive, happy environment where they are understood and appreciated. This shared creative experience strengthens friendships, builds confidence, and promotes positive mental wellbeing by celebrating the idea that together, we create something brighter and stronger than we ever could alone.
