The Holden School wanted to let you know as parents and carers of our children what we can help support you and your families with moving forward. We link in with all of the partner agencies and professionals in your local area as well as the school nurse and health professionals both in physical and mental health services.

We are aware that each Council/Local Authority have different offers of supporting their families in their areas however we thought as we are located in Leigh, Wigan we would take this opportunity to send you some information about Early Help and a link to the Wigan Borough – Family HUBS which are there to help the whole family. The Early Help offer is replicated in other Local Authority areas and we at school can help you access the support your family deserve by contacting them on your behalf when you need them!

Early Help means ensuring the right help and support is available at the earliest opportunity for families.

We recognise that an increasing number of children and families require help and support to address challengers in their lives and to achieve their full potential as a family. This investment in early help and prevention not only provides support at the earliest stage it also reduces the risk of families requiring high cost, and more intensive, support at a later stage.

Building on a successful partnership approach to early help, putting prevention at the heart of what we all do!
