At The Holden School , we are committed to ensuring every student feels safe and supported. We are pleased to share a new specialist offering from DIAS designed to support children and young people (CYP) who are living with domestic abuse.
Understanding the Support
It is important to recognise that children are classed as victims of domestic abuse if they live in a household where abuse is present. A child does not need to have been physically harmed or to have directly witnessed an incident to be eligible for this support.
Criteria for Referral
To access this tailored service, the following criteria must be met:
- Consent: A parent or carer must provide consent for the referral.
- Disclosure: There must have been a disclosure of domestic abuse from either a parent or the young person.
How to Apply
If you feel a young person in your care would benefit from this service, you can access the referral form via the link below. Once completed, please return it to our Designated Safeguarding Lead or follow the submission instructions included in the document.
