Visit from the firemen

Today Fireflies class had an exciting visit from the Local Fire station. This linked to our topic “People Who Help Us”. Children were able to explore the Fire Engine and equipment and get an up close view of what its like to be a firefighter. All the children were engaged and particularly enjoyed using the hose to wash Mr Joyce’s car although I think they missed a bit!

By the end of the session the whole school had come out to participate and see the engine, the children and staff all enjoyed their time with the Fire Fighters but we think they enjoyed it the most!
