Our Commitment to Safeguarding: Prevent Training at The Holden School 🛡️✨

In light of the recent findings from the Southport Inquiry, we want to reassure our parents and carers that the safety and well-being of our pupils remain our absolute priority. A key part of this commitment is ensuring our team is highly trained to recognise and respond to any potential risks.

We are proud to share that our staff at The Holden School have recently completed comprehensive Prevent Duty training. 🎓

What this means for our school:

  • In-House Training: Our staff participated in our own bespoke ‘in-house’ training sessions, tailored specifically to the needs and context of our school environment.
  • Government Certification: Following this, our staff have also completed the official Government Prevent Awareness Course, with each member of the team receiving a certificate of completion! ✅
  • Proactive Vigilance: This training ensures our staff are equipped with the latest skills to identify signs of radicalisation and understand exactly how to keep our children safe and supported. 🤝

We believe that by staying informed and rigorously trained, we can continue to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. 🌟

Find Out More: If you have any questions regarding our safeguarding policies or the Prevent duty, please feel free to visit our Safeguarding Page or contact the school office.
